We introduced Girls Flow Free Community Care Cycle as a community-based initiative in Milton Keynes aimed at tackling period poverty and promoting menstrual dignity in partnership with GP surgeries.

We recognise that GP surgeries are often a first and trusted point of contact for individuals facing a range of challenges, including financial hardship.

By making period products readily available in GP practices, they can provide immediate, practical support to patients who might otherwise go without or simply make pads available in toilets for patients who might get caught out, as periods sometimes just happen.

The project ensures that no one has to miss school, work, or daily activities because they cannot afford period products.

The project goes beyond product distribution by providing menstrual products, raising awareness, and challenging the stigma surrounding menstruation.

By creating easily accessible collection points and fostering community support, the Community Care Cycle Project empowers women and girls to manage their periods with confidence, dignity, and good health.
